Photography became a meaningful part of my life six years ago, following a personal experience that encouraged me to pick up a camera and see the world differently. What began as a simple creative outlet soon became a way of slowing down, paying attention, and appreciating the details that often go unnoticed.
Travel has always been at the heart of my photography. I am fascinated by the diversity of our world: the landscapes, the architecture, the traditions, and most importantly, the people who bring each place to life. Whether I am walking through a quiet village in Japan, exploring historic islands in Greece, or discovering hidden corners closer to home, I am drawn to the moments that reveal something authentic about a place and its culture.
I don't limit myself to a single subject. While I enjoy photographing landscapes and cityscapes, I am equally inspired by portraits, local life, and the small details that help tell a larger story. A gesture between friends, the expression on a stranger's face, the textures of a market stall, or the way light falls across a street can all become part of the narrative.
For me, photography begins with observation. I enjoy stepping back, slowing down, and viewing the world from the perspective of an observer. Strong composition is always the foundation, but what truly interests me is creating photographs that tell stories and capture the character of a place, a moment, or a person.
Through Doug's Viewfinder, I invite you to join me as I explore the world one story at a time.
